Welcome!
Safe, affordable housing gives individuals and families the comfort and security they need to work, attend school, contribute to their community, and thrive. We are proud to provide safe and comfortable homes for over 20,000 low-income Nova Scotians on behalf of the government of Nova Scotia.
As the landscape of public housing evolves, we understand that embracing change is essential for progress. At NSPHA, we are strengthening our policies, exploring innovative housing construction methods, increasing energy efficiency, and focusing on accessibility in our design to provide as many people as possible with homes.
Elections Policy
Tenants may place election signs in their unit and its windows or their private yard. Placing election signage in shared spaces such as apartment building lawns, common rooms, laundry rooms and hallways on NSPHA property is prohibited.
Candidates and their representatives are allowed to campaign in NSPHA buildings during the election period. For the safety of our tenants, campaign staff must display government-issued identification.
