Housing for Families

Housing for Families

This program provides affordable rental housing to families in need. Rental rates are determined by your household composition and income. The units are fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator and most of them include heat and hot water. Some units are accessible for people with physical disabilities. There are units located across Nova Scotia.

Am I Eligible?

To qualify for one of these units, you must meet the guidelines for income, residency and core housing need established by the Nova Scotia Provincial Housing Agency (NSPHA).

Priority access to public housing is given to survivors of family violence, those who live in inadequate housing that is a risk to health and safety or who require deeply affordable housing in close proximity to life sustaining health services.
